    Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public meeting in Wazidpur of Harahua area on July 7 before inaugurating ready projects and layingfoundation of new ones worth Rs 7,000 crore.

    Providing details of preparations for the event, BJP’s Kashi regional unit president Dilip Singh Patel said, “PM will address public at Wazidpur, 10 kmfrom district headquarters on the airport road, on July 7 and we have started preparations to make the programme a grand success. A meeting of partyoffice-bearers was held in which responsibilities were assigned pertaining to the preparations.”

    A large number of officials camped at Wazidpur to measure the area of the proposed public meeting and to start installing German hangers.

    Regarding the projects to be gifted by Modi during his next visit, divisional commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma said that list of projects ready for inauguration and foundation laying will be finalised by Sunday morning. As per tentative list, railway’s projects in east UP district of around Rs 4,000 crore will be inaugurated and launched by PM, said officials.

    Among the major projects to be dedicated to the public will be formal opening of 63 km Varanasi – Jaunpur patch of Varanasi-Sultanpur-Lucknow highway. Commissioner said NHAI has finished the work of upgrading the Varanasi-Jaunpur patch of the highway.

    Many residential buildings of Central Institute for Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET) employees, police and PAC personnel and a Gurukul style school in Karsada are also ready for inauguration and may also find place in the list of ready projects for inauguration by PM. The commissioner said foundation laying for up to six new
    projects would also take place at the public meeting.
