Hapag-Lloyd will add Salalah, Oman, to the eastbound rotation of its SE3 service from September 26, 2026, providing an additional Middle East port call on the service.
The revised rotation will be Qingdao–Kwangyang–Ningbo–Tanjung Pelepas–Jeddah–Port Said–Damietta–Salalah–Colombo–Singapore–Qingdao.
The first vessel scheduled to call at Salalah under the updated rotation is Morten Maersk, voyage 638E, with an estimated arrival at the Omani port on September 26.
The addition strengthens the SE3 service’s connectivity between Asian markets and the Middle East while providing customers with an additional gateway in Oman. Salalah is already an important regional transshipment hub and is served by several Hapag-Lloyd services.
The change also comes after Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk made structural adjustments to Gemini Cooperation services amid changing security conditions in the Red Sea. Hapag-Lloyd moved SE3 onto the Red Sea route earlier this year, replacing the previous routing around the Cape of Good Hope.
Hapag-Lloyd said customers should refer to the latest vessel schedules when planning shipments following the rotation change.
The additional Salalah call is expected to improve Middle East coverage on SE3 and provide shippers with another option for moving cargo between Asia and regional markets.
