Saudia Cargo has launched a new Dhaka–Frankfurt freighter service, strengthening air-cargo connectivity between Bangladesh and Europe and creating an additional logistics link for international trade.
The new service connects Dhaka, Bangladesh, with Frankfurt, Germany, one of Europe’s major air-freight gateways. The route is expected to provide exporters and freight forwarders with additional cargo capacity and more direct access to European markets.
The service comes as Bangladesh continues to expand its international trade, particularly in sectors such as ready-made garments, textiles, pharmaceuticals, leather products and other manufactured goods. Reliable air-freight connections are important for exporters handling time-sensitive shipments and high-value products.
Frankfurt’s extensive cargo infrastructure and central location within Europe also provide access to a broad network of destinations. Cargo arriving in Frankfurt can be distributed efficiently across Germany and other European markets through established road and logistics connections.
For Bangladesh-based exporters, the additional freighter capacity could support more predictable transportation options and help improve supply-chain flexibility. It may also give freight forwarders greater choice when planning shipments to European destinations.
The new Dhaka–Frankfurt link strengthens Saudia Cargo’s role in connecting Asian production centres with key European markets. It also reflects the continuing importance of dedicated freighter operations in supporting global trade, particularly where passenger aircraft belly capacity may not be sufficient.
