South Carolina Ports has strengthened its connections between Charleston and South America, adding capacity across six weekly services linking the port with key markets in the region.
The expanded service network provides shippers with more options for moving containerised cargo between the US Southeast and South American destinations. The additional capacity is expected to support growing trade flows and improve connectivity for exporters and importers using Charleston.
The move further strengthens Charleston’s position as a major gateway for international trade in the US Southeast. SC Ports continues to invest in terminal and intermodal infrastructure to improve cargo-handling capacity and connections to inland markets.
The enhanced South America links are expected to give businesses across the region greater flexibility in managing international supply chains while supporting continued growth in bilateral trade.
