    Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi to discuss capital expenditure plans to transform India Post into a profit-making logistics enterprise. Scindia outlined a comprehensive development strategy focused on digital transformation, infrastructure upgrades, and staff housing renovations across the country.

    Highlighting the department’s objectives, Scindia emphasised that automation and digitisation of processes would drive efficiency, preparing India Post for future challenges. The strategy also includes measures to modernize post offices, enhancing service delivery and operational effectiveness.

    Scindia expressed confidence in India Post’s ability to expand its market share, boost revenue streams, and establish itself as a competitive player in the logistics sector over the next five to seven years. The plan underscores India Post’s commitment to leveraging technology and innovation to meet evolving industry demands.
