SeaLead, a rapidly expanding global shipping line, is relaunching its Far East India Express 2 (FIX 2) service to boost connectivity between Central China and West India. The inaugural voyage is set for 12 September 2024.
The FIX 2 service will provide a direct weekly route from Shanghai, with stops at Ningbo, Shekou, Nhava Sheva, and Mundra, skipping intermediary ports like Singapore and Port Klang.
“The reintroduction of the Far East India Express 2 is a significant part of our ongoing efforts to expand our services and better serve the global market. This service boosts our presence in West India,” stated Suleyman Avci, Global Chief Executive Officer, at SeaLead.
Also, this streamlined route reduces transit times between Central China and West India. The eastbound leg will return directly to Shanghai from Nhava Sheva and Mundra, connecting to SeaLead’s US West Coast service.
In collaboration with Bengal Tiger Line and Sinotrans, SeaLead’s new FIX 2 service will enhance links between China and India, the world’s largest manufacturing centres. The Global Trade Research Initiative (GTRI) reports that India-China bilateral trade reached US$118.4 billion in FY 2024, with China becoming India’s leading trading partner again.
According to a statement, this growth highlights the strong economic ties between these regions. SeaLead’s FIX 2 service will facilitate further trade expansion and offer customers seamless access to global markets, reinforcing SeaLead’s commitment to exceptional service and reliable shipping solutions.
