The South East Central Railway (SECR) Raipur division has achieved the highest revenue in freight loading in the income category, earning Rs 5,000 crore. The divisional railway manager, Sanjeev Kumar, attributed this achievement to the dedication of officials and staff.

“Raipur division has achieved the highest revenue in freight loading by working diligently in adverse circumstances with the collective, continuous, and disciplined efforts of its dedicated railway employees. By March 23, 2024, in the current financial year 2023-24, the Raipur Rail division has achieved historic revenue of Rs 5000 crore in freight loading,” he said.

Achieving a revenue of Rs 5000 crore in the financial year 2023-24 is the best performance of the Raipur Division so far. The Raipur Rail Division has played a supportive role in the progress of the country by providing unprecedented service to various states. Freight loading included steel, rice, coal, clinker, iron ore, cement, fertilizers, dolomite, limestone among others, he said.

Skilled guidance from Indian railways traffic service officers also played a pivotal role in achieving success, he said.
