St. John Freight Systems Limited has expanded its Inland Transportation Services (ITS) fleet in Tuticorin with the addition of a new batch of trailers, reinforcing its commitment to providing reliable, efficient, and integrated inland logistics solutions for domestic and international customers.
The fleet expansion is in addition to the company’s ICD-attached trailers, which are primarily deployed for import and export cargo movements between the port and the Inland Container Depot (ICD). With the latest additions, St. John Freight Systems aims to increase its overall trailer fleet strength in Tuticorin to more than 40 trailers by the end of the year, significantly enhancing its transportation capacity.
The first trailer from the new batch was inaugurated on June 18 at the Tuticorin ICD. The ceremony was jointly led by the company’s Chief Executive Officer and Senior Vice President – ICD, marking another milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its integrated logistics and transportation capabilities.
The company said the investment reflects its focus on expanding operational capacity, improving service reliability, and supporting growing customer demand through a stronger inland transportation network. The enhanced fleet is expected to improve connectivity between ports, ICDs, and customer locations while supporting seamless cargo movement across the supply chain.
