Summit Shipping Line will introduce a new container service connecting India with Egypt’s Sokhna port on the Red Sea, strengthening direct maritime connectivity between the two countries.
The new Bharat Red Sea Service (BRS) will deploy two container vessels, each with an approximate capacity of 900 TEUs. The company has not yet disclosed the service frequency.
The service will follow the rotation Nhava Sheva – Mundra – Sokhna – Nhava Sheva, linking two of India’s major container gateways with Egypt’s Red Sea port.
The new connection is expected to provide shippers with a direct maritime link between western India and Egypt, offering an additional option for containerised cargo movements between the Indian subcontinent and the Red Sea region.
With the introduction of the BRS, Summit Shipping Line is expanding its service network and enhancing shipping connectivity between India and key regional trade markets.
