Synergy Marine Group announced that its managed vessel, the 2012-built Kamsarmax KEY JOURNEY, has been honoured with the NYK Dry Bulk Award 2025 for outstanding operational standards. The vessel is managed by Synergy Onyx, the Group’s specialist dry vessel Document of Compliance (DOC) based in Pune, India.
The award from NYK’s Dry Bulk Business Division recognises the professionalism, safety culture, and operational excellence consistently demonstrated on board. The current crew, led by Captain Dig Vijay Samyal, Chief Engineer Sunil Kumar Panjetha, Chief Officer Ashish Bansal, and Second Engineer Alagarsamy Srinivasan, received special praise.
Accepting the certificate in Japan on behalf of Synergy’s global team, Co-CEO Ship Management Ajay Chaudhry and Synergy’s Japan representative Yojiro Asada underscored the significance of the recognition.
“With NYK’s dry bulk fleet exceeding 400 vessels, this honour reflects the consistency and reliability of our teams. It reaffirms the culture of safety, service and continuous improvement that defines Synergy’s 28,000 seafarers worldwide,” said Chaudhry.
The Group extended gratitude to all seafarers who have served on KEY JOURNEY over the years, noting that the award is a tribute to their dedication and teamwork.
Synergy Marine Group emphasised that such recognitions highlight the commitment of its sea and shore-based teams to delivering safe, reliable and high-quality ship management across its global fleet.
