India is continuing to allow Canadian yellow peas to come into the country restriction-free from October 31st to December 31st this year.

India’s Directorate of Foreign Trade published the order on Friday.

The Indian government originally lifted the duties on pea imports in December 2023 until it expired this spring. However, that was extended to the end of October.

Traditionally, India is Canada’s largest market for peas. In 2023-24, more than 45 per cent of Canadian pea exports went to India.
