TVS Industrial & Logistics Parks (TVS ILP) has made a strategic move into eastern India by acquiring a state-of-the-art industrial facility in Siliguri, West Bengal. The newly developed facility spans 1.40 lakh square feet and is located on a 5.66-acre plot in Fulbari. This
expansion marks the company’s first foray into the eastern industrial market and reinforces its position as a leading provider of grade A industrial infrastructure. The financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed.

Siliguri, often referred to as the ‘Gateway of North-East India,’ serves as a critical hub for logistics and trade due to its strategic location near major transit routes. This makes the city an ideal base for businesses looking to enhance their supply chain capabilities and
engage in cross-border trade. TVS ILP’s entry into this region reflects its intent to address the growing demand for modern logistical solutions in emerging markets. The facility is tailored to meet a variety of business needs, offering build-to-suit options that can
    accommodate diverse operational requirements.

Currently, the facility hosts a prominent e-commerce company, underscoring its capability to support high-demand industries. According to Aditi Kumar, Executive Director of TVS ILP, entering the Siliguri market as the first-grade A industrial developer is a significant milestone. She highlighted the city’s importance in connecting northeast India with the rest of the country, positioning it as a crucial link in the supply chain network.

This expansion is part of TVS ILP’s broader strategy to tap into tier-II and tier-III markets in East India. In addition to the Siliguri project, the company already operates a facility in Cuttack, Odisha, and has plans to establish a presence in Guwahati. By targeting these
markets, TVS ILP aims to unlock the vast potential of underserved regions that are poised for industrial growth.

TVS ILP’s footprint extends across more than 13 cities in India, and the company is committed to adding new locations to its portfolio every year. This sustained expansion aligns with its mission to provide cutting-edge industrial and logistics infrastructure nationwide. As TVS ILP continues to grow, its investments in eastern India signal a focus on enhancing connectivity, supporting economic development, and meeting the evolving needs of businesses in the region.

By capitalizing on the strategic advantages of Siliguri and similar markets, TVS ILP is well-positioned to solidify its leadership in the industrial logistics sector and drive long-term growth in untapped regions.
