A delegation from the United States Trade Representative (USTR) is scheduled to visit India on June 22, 2026, as New Delhi and Washington intensify efforts to conclude a bilateral trade agreement.
Speaking at a media briefing on Monday, Rajesh Agrawal said the U.S. delegation will hold discussions with India’s Commerce Ministry on June 23 and 24 to address outstanding issues and work towards finalizing the proposed trade pact.
According to Agrawal, the upcoming meetings are expected to focus on resolving remaining areas of divergence and giving the agreement its final shape.
“India is hopeful the discussions will help conclude the ongoing trade agreement negotiations,” he said.
The visit comes amid sustained engagement between the two countries to deepen economic ties, expand market access, and strengthen bilateral trade and investment flows. A successful conclusion of the negotiations could provide a significant boost to commercial relations between the world’s largest and fifth-largest economies.
