Visakha Container Terminal (VCT) has achieved a significant milestone by handling its highest-ever volume of Out-of-Gauge (OOG) cargo in a single vessel operation, successfully discharging 108 OOG 40-FEU containers.
The record-setting operation was carried out for M/s. Saatvik Solar’s Gopalpur plant project aboard the breakbulk vessel M.V. Hong Yao. The specialised cargo was safely discharged at the terminal, demonstrating VCT’s growing capabilities in handling complex project cargo operations.
The successful operation involved meticulous planning, close coordination among various departments and precise execution to ensure the safe and efficient handling of the oversized cargo.
The achievement highlights Visakha Container Terminal’s ability to manage high-volume and specialised OOG cargo, strengthening its role in supporting large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects in the region.
The milestone also reflects the terminal team’s focus on operational excellence, safety and efficient cargo handling, further enhancing VCT’s capabilities as a key logistics gateway for project cargo.
With this record operation, Visakha Container Terminal has reinforced its readiness to meet the evolving logistics requirements of major industrial projects and provide specialised cargo handling solutions to customers.
