    Switzerland-based commodity trading giant Vitol has consolidated all its shipping activities into a Singapore-based company.

    The company is named Vitol International Shipping and will be led by Kit Kernon, Vitol’s head of shipping.

    Vitol International Shipping will be the new name for Mansel which is Vitol’s Singapore-based shipping company.

    There will be no change to LSC, Vitol’s technical ship management company, which will continue to operate from Riga, Latvia.

    According to data provided by the company, Vitol is one of the world’s largest spot charterers, with about 6,000 sea voyages annually.
