    V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority underwent the 2nd Annual Statement of Compliance (SOC) Audit under the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, reinforcing its commitment to maintaining high standards of maritime security and regulatory compliance.

    The audit was conducted by Capt. Anish Joseph, Principal Officer, Mercantile Marine Department (MMD), Chennai, and Shri S. S. Murty, E&SS, SIC, MMD, Tuticorin.

    During the visit, the officials met Shri Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, and held discussions on key aspects of port security, regulatory compliance and the effective implementation of the ISPS Code.

    The annual SOC audit is an important mechanism for assessing the port’s security arrangements and ensuring continued compliance with international maritime security requirements.

    The visit highlights V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority’s ongoing efforts to strengthen security systems, uphold regulatory standards and ensure safe, secure and efficient port operations in line with international maritime security protocols.
