Wan Hai Lines is expanding its service network in India. In May 2024, Wan Hai Lines introduced the SI8 (South East Asia – India Service VIII), a direct service from Indonesia to West India.

The inaugural call of SI8 at the BMCT terminal on 19 May marked a successful launch.

In addition, this service includes the traditional Far East region and provides direct routes to ports like Jakarta and Surabaya. SI8 aims to deliver more efficient, faster, and more extensive transportation options between Indonesia and India.

The port rotation for SI8 is as follows: Jakarta, Indonesia – Surabaya, Indonesia – Singapore – Port Kelang North Port, Malaysia – Mundra, India – Nhava Sheva, India – Port Kelang North Port, Malaysia – Jakarta, Indonesia
