Indian ecommerce marketplace Flipkart plans to expand its quick delivery service, Flipkart Minutes, to more cities in the country.

The service is currently in its pilot stage in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi.

Flipkart’s chief corporate affairs officer Rajneesh Kumar noted an increasing demand for faster delivery options in urban areas like Kolkata, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai.

This need for speed fuels the company’s emphasis on quick commerce, but no specific timeline for the expansion has been given.

The move aligns with rising demand in India’s quick commerce, a sector with players like Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, and BigBasket.
