    Hong Kong-based container carrier Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) achieved a 55% increase in its 2024 fourth quarter revenues, compared to the same period last year, reporting over US$2.5 billion.

    For the same period, OOCL handled around 2 million TEUs, representing a 6% growth compared to the corresponding figure in 2023 Q4.

    Furthermore, the average revenue per TEU for the subsidiary of Chinese shipping giant COSCO saw a substantial increase of 46% year-over-year in the last quarter of 2024.

    For the full year, OOCL reported total revenues of over US$9.8 billion, translating to a significant 30% increase compared to the prior year’s revenues, while the total box volumes surpassed 7.5 million TEUs in a 3.5% year-over-year growth.
