Mahindra Aerostructures Private Ltd. has bagged the contract for manufacturing and assembling the fuselage of Airbus H130 helicopters in India.

Mahindra is already supplying a variety of parts and sub-assemblies for Airbus’ commercial aircraft programmes.

The company will produce H130’s main fuselage assembly, which will then be shipped to Airbus Helicopters’ facilities in Europe, Airbus announced on Wednesday.

Mahindra is expected to deliver the first copter cabin assembly by March 2027, the Airbus said in a statement.

The contract was signed in the presence of Minister of Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, secretary civil aviation Vumlunmang Vualnam, Rémi Maillard, President and Managing Director of Airbus in India and South Asia, and Anish Shah, Group CEO and Managing Director of Mahindra & Mahindra.
