Bruhat Logistics, a member of XLProjects Network (XLP), successfully managed the end-to-end transport of oversized compressor units and accessories from the United States to India. The complex operation combined RORO and container shipping methods and was executed with full oversight from origin to final delivery.

The shipment originated in the United States and was destined for a client site in India. It included oversized compressor units and related accessories, requiring a multi-modal transport approach involving RORO vessels and containerized cargo. Bruhat’s scope began with a detailed cargo survey at the shipper’s site, ensuring accurate planning for the specialized move.

For inland transportation to the terminal, Bruhat arranged low-bed trailers equipped with OOG (out-of-gauge) permits and police escorts. Upon arrival at the port, both main units were loaded onto 2x40FT MAFIs and thoroughly cleaned prior to loading. Accessories were handled separately, trucked to a container yard, stuffed, and prepared for export.

Export customs clearance was managed for both RORO and container segments, including precise lashing arrangements to meet safety and compliance standards. Bruhat’s team continued to oversee ocean freight and coordinated local handling upon arrival in India—managing import clearance and the final on-site delivery to the client.

This project underscores Bruhat Logistics’ expertise in handling heavy machinery through tailored door-to-door logistics solutions, combining engineering knowledge, regulatory compliance, and logistical precision to meet complex client requirements.
