The Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) formally launched its Andhra Pradesh Chapter in Visakhapatnam today in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The event also saw the participation of Sri B.C. Janardhan Reddy, Minister for Infrastructure & Investment, and Sri T.G. Bharat, Minister for Industries & Commerce, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The launch drew over 350 delegates from the air cargo, logistics, trade, and industry sectors, marking a significant step in strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s position as an emerging air cargo and logistics hub.

A key highlight of the event was the CEO Roundtable, where ACFI leaders raised critical industry issues such as the Open Sky Policy and Double Dipping. Representing ACFI, President Mr. Sanjiv Edward and Chairman – Outreach Pillar & Partnerships Mr. Satish Lakkaraju made strong representations, which were well received by the Chief Minister.

Mr. Edward said, “The launch of the Andhra Pradesh Chapter is a major step towards enhancing the State’s role in India’s air cargo growth story. With ACFI’s vision and the Government’s focus on integrated logistics hubs, Andhra Pradesh is poised to emerge as a logistics leader on the Eastern seaboard.”

Echoing this, Mr. Lakkaraju added, “Our discussions with the Hon’ble Chief Minister reflect ACFI’s commitment to addressing industry challenges and enabling sustainable growth. The support shown today is highly encouraging.”
