V.O. Chidambaranar (VOC) Port has recorded a significant uptick in limestone handling, managing 8,78,706 tonnes up to September in the current financial year 2025–26. This marks a robust growth of 53.84% compared to 5,71,173 tonnes handled during the same period in FY 2024–25.

The sharp increase reflects the Port’s enhanced operational efficiency and its critical role in supporting raw material imports for the construction and manufacturing industries.

With this momentum, VOC Port continues to strengthen its position as a key gateway for bulk cargo in India’s maritime supply chain.
