    V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority Chairman Shri Susanta Kumar Purohit met Shri Abhay Bakre, Mission Director for Green Hydrogen at the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, to discuss accelerating the development of India’s green fuel ecosystem.

    During the meeting, Shri Purohit highlighted VOC Port’s strategic potential to emerge as a green methanol bunkering hub, enabling cleaner and more sustainable shipping operations. Backed by its upcoming green methanol bunkering project and proximity to key international sea routes, VOC Port is poised to play a leading role in the transition to green maritime solutions.

    VOC Port will showcase green technology initiatives at India Maritime Week 2025 in Mumbai, featuring live demonstrations and innovations in clean fuels.
