Logistics major Delhivery has launched an all-women distribution centre in Kochi, Kerala, expanding its network of women-led facilities to six across the country. The new hub, designed with women-focused infrastructure, features secure rest areas, changing rooms, ergonomically planned workspaces, enhanced safety systems and flexible work arrangements to support better work-life balance for employees.
With the capacity to process more than 1,000 parcels a day, the Kochi centre underscores the operational capability and efficiency of its all-women workforce. The company already operates similar centres in Moga (Punjab), Sikar (Rajasthan), Satna (Madhya Pradesh), and Delhi’s Mayapuri and Shahdara.
Prashant Gazipur, Senior Vice President of Last Mile Operations at Delhivery, said that women employees have consistently strengthened operational performance by bringing discipline, consistency and accountability to their roles. He noted that their contributions have enhanced service quality and added value to overall operations, demonstrating how inclusive workplaces can boost both productivity and employee engagement.
Delhivery has been expanding its women-centric initiatives since the launch of its first all-women hub, aiming to build safe, supportive and growth-oriented environments in a traditionally male-dominated sector. The company’s continued efforts reflect the increasing recognition of women’s leadership and operational impact across the logistics industry.
