Dakshin Bharat Gateway Terminal (DBGT), operating at the V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority in Tuticorin, has reached a major operational milestone with the successful handling of its first significant EXIM transshipment consignment.

The vessel M.V. Mila 3 discharged 385 transshipment containers out of a total 1,969 TEUs, marking an important step in the terminal’s expanding capabilities and efficiency.

This development reinforces DBGT’s growing role as an emerging transshipment hub on India’s East Coast, enabling smoother regional connectivity and more efficient cargo movement. With this achievement, the terminal continues to strengthen its standing in India’s maritime logistics landscape, supporting trade facilitation and improved supply chain linkages across the region.
