AI and computer vision startup Docker Vision highlighted its indigenous technology capabilities during an interaction with Dr. Samir V. Kamat, Chairman of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), at the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), in collaboration with Maker Village.
During the visit, Docker Vision demonstrated how its AI-powered computer vision solutions can support a range of defence and strategic infrastructure use cases. These include automated identification, real-time verification, infrastructure intelligence, and high-speed, camera-based systems designed to operate reliably in harsh and demanding environments.
Company representatives said the solutions are particularly relevant for national infrastructure, logistics, and defence preparedness, where accuracy, reliability, and real-time decision-making are mission-critical.
The interaction underscored the growing role of deep-tech startups in India’s defence innovation ecosystem. Docker Vision emphasised that indigenous technologies, developed and scaled within the country, are essential to strengthening self-reliance and operational readiness across strategic sectors.
Engagements such as this, the startup noted, reinforce the belief that India’s next wave of defence innovation will be driven by close collaboration between startups, research institutions, and government agencies, aligning innovation with national priorities.
