Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has strengthened its cold chain logistics capabilities with the deployment of IceBattery-enabled Hybrid Reefer solutions, enhancing the safe and reliable movement of temperature-sensitive agro and pharmaceutical cargo across domestic and international routes.

The advanced hybrid reefer technology enables temperature maintenance between 2°C and 25°C for over 50 hours without diesel, ensuring uniform cooling along with 70–80% humidity control. This innovation significantly reduces fuel dependence while maintaining cargo integrity during transit.

As part of its technology-driven logistics approach, CONCOR has integrated live track-and-trace systems with real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity, and location throughout the journey, supported by modern data loggers. The solution has already recorded more than 50 successful movements, demonstrating its operational reliability.

Marking a key milestone, CONCOR recently completed its first temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical consignment for M/s Sun Pharma, delivering cargo to Singapore using its own 20-ft Hybrid IceBattery-based reefer container—a notable step in expanding India’s pharma cold chain exports.

The Hybrid Reefer solutions are now available across trucks, 20-ft, and 40-ft reefer containers, catering to a wide range of perishable commodities.

With this initiative, CONCOR continues to support efficient, sustainable, and dependable cold chain logistics, reinforcing its role in facilitating the movement of high-value perishable goods, including agricultural produce and pharmaceuticals, in both domestic and overseas markets.
