New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) today welcomed the maiden voyage of the Liberian-flagged vessel MT Petro Karavo, underscoring the port’s growing role in global maritime trade. The vessel called at New Mangalore Port to load Motor Spirit cargo for Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), marking a notable addition to the port’s operational milestones.
To commemorate the occasion, Capt. Arvind Sharma, Master of MT Petro Karavo, was presented with a memento by Capt. Manoj Joshi, Deputy Chairperson (i/c) & Deputy Conservator, and Shri K. Rajendra Kumar, Traffic Manager, NMPA. The presentation marked the vessel’s maiden voyage from China to New Mangalore Port, India.
The maiden call highlights NMPA’s expanding connectivity and its continued efforts to strengthen international shipping links while supporting India’s energy and trade requirements.
