Adani Gangavaram Port, one of India’s deepest and most modern ports, has achieved a major operational milestone by handling 3,400 TEUs in a single transaction—the highest container volume ever managed in one vessel call at the port.

The record was set during the call of MSC Tracy V, a container vessel measuring 294.05 metres in length overall (LOA). The successful handling of the high-volume operation underscored the port’s robust planning, high berth productivity, and seamless coordination across marine, terminal, and logistics teams.

The achievement highlights the port’s growing capability to handle large-scale container operations and reinforces its role as a strategic gateway for containerised trade on India’s East Coast. It also reflects Adani Gangavaram Port’s focus on efficiency, reliability, and service excellence for global shipping lines.

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) marked the milestone by presenting a commemorative memento to the port, reaffirming its long-standing partnership with Adani Gangavaram Port. The collaboration, built on operational synergy and shared service standards, has played a key role in advancing performance benchmarks and supporting the port’s sustained growth.

Adani Gangavaram Port’s modern infrastructure, deep-draft berths, advanced container-handling equipment, and integrated logistics systems enabled the smooth and timely execution of the operation. The port serves as a key logistics gateway for cargo from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and neighbouring regions.

The port continues to invest in digitalisation, process optimisation, and capacity enhancement to support India’s expanding container trade.

Commenting on the achievement, the management of Adani Gangavaram Port Limited said, “Handling 3,400 TEUs in a single transaction with MSC Tracy V is a testament to our team’s operational excellence and coordination. This milestone reflects our commitment to delivering high-efficiency, reliable, and customer-centric logistics solutions. We thank MSC for being a trusted partner and for their continued support.”
