Regional Container Lines (RCL) has issued an end-of-voyage notice for vessel calls at Port of Sohar and Port of Khor Fakkan as escalating tensions in the Middle East continue to disrupt regional shipping operations.

The carrier said the measure is intended to limit exposure to security risks affecting maritime traffic near the Strait of Hormuz. Under the end-of-voyage declaration, cargo bound for the affected ports may be discharged earlier than planned or redirected through alternative hubs, with onward delivery arranged through feeder or regional services.

Shipping lines operating in the Gulf have been adjusting schedules, suspending services, and rerouting vessels in response to growing instability in the region.

Industry analysts say such operational changes could lead to longer transit times and logistical challenges for shippers relying on regular container services to the Gulf. The situation remains fluid, with carriers continuing to review safety conditions and network adjustments as regional developments unfold.
