In the backdrop of an evolving geopolitical landscape and rising supply chain uncertainties, industry bodies are stepping up efforts to strengthen India’s logistics ecosystem. The National Association of Container Freight Stations (NACFS) and the Container Freight Stations Association of India (CFSAI) will jointly host a Maritime & Logistics Conclave aimed at fostering collaboration between government and industry stakeholders.
The conclave, centered on the theme “Co-creating a resilient, future-ready logistics infrastructure capable of withstanding emerging disruptions and challenges,” will bring together policymakers, senior bureaucrats, and key players from the maritime and logistics sectors.
Senior officials from the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), the Logistics Division, Indian Railways, and other relevant ministries are expected to participate and engage in discussions with industry leaders and trade representatives.
Leading apex trade bodies, including the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), the Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India (FFFAI), the Container Shipping Lines Association (CSLA), the Association of Multimodal Transport Operators of India (AMTOI), the Indian Private Ports and Terminals Association (IPPTA), the Bombay Custom Brokers’ Association (BCBA), and the National Inland Shipping Stakeholders Association (NISSA), have confirmed their participation.
The discussions will focus on enhancing resilience in logistics infrastructure, reducing EXIM containerized logistics costs, and adopting global best practices in line with the government’s Ease of Doing Business agenda. A key outcome of the conclave will be the preparation of a white paper to be submitted to policymakers for consideration.
Over the years, CFSAI and NACFS have worked closely to complement each other’s efforts in improving efficiency and competitiveness in containerized logistics across India.
The half-day conclave is scheduled to be held at India Habitat Centre on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 9:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
