The Port of Kaohsiung and the Port of Gdynia have strengthened their digital partnership, aiming to accelerate smart port development and enhance operational efficiency.

The collaboration focuses on the exchange of expertise in areas such as port digitalisation, data-driven logistics, and automation technologies. Both ports plan to leverage advanced IT systems to improve cargo tracking, optimise terminal operations, and streamline vessel turnaround times.

Officials said the partnership will enable knowledge sharing on best practices, including the integration of digital platforms and the use of real-time data for decision-making. This is expected to boost transparency and resilience across port operations.

The move reflects a broader global trend toward smart ports, where digital tools are increasingly being adopted to handle rising cargo volumes and complex supply chains.

By deepening cooperation, the ports of Kaohsiung and Gdynia aim to strengthen their competitiveness and support more efficient international trade flows between Asia and Europe.
