The Chennai Port Authority (ChPA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AMRIT Pharmacy, a unit of HLL Lifecare Limited under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, to strengthen healthcare services for the port community and maritime workforce.

The MoU was signed at the Centenary Building in the presence of Kurve Sachin Shardchandra, Chairperson of Chennai Port Authority.

The partnership aims to improve access to affordable healthcare and pharmaceutical services for port employees, seafarers, and other stakeholders associated with the port ecosystem. It reflects ChPA’s continued focus on employee welfare and the well-being of the maritime community by facilitating easier access to quality medicines and healthcare support.

The initiative is expected to contribute to a healthier workforce while reinforcing Chennai Port Authority’s commitment to providing comprehensive welfare measures for its employees and seafaring personnel.
