Bureau Veritas (BV) and Shenzhen Port Group have signed a partnership agreement to advance the development of a green shipping corridor, supporting efforts to promote cleaner maritime transport and sustainable port operations.

The collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of low-carbon technologies, improve environmental performance, and support the transition toward greener shipping solutions. The partnership will focus on areas such as sustainable fuel adoption, emissions reduction strategies, and enhanced maritime efficiency.

The initiative reflects growing cooperation between classification societies and port operators to build more environmentally responsible shipping networks. Green shipping corridors are emerging as a key pathway for reducing greenhouse gas emissions across global maritime trade.

Shenzhen Port Group’s involvement strengthens efforts to develop sustainable logistics infrastructure, while Bureau Veritas will contribute its expertise in marine certification, safety standards, and decarbonisation solutions.

The agreement highlights the continued push by the maritime industry to achieve cleaner operations and support global targets for reducing shipping emissions.
