Bharat A to Z Pvt. Ltd., a part of the Bharat Freight Group (BFG), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth ₹100 crore with the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Tripura, to develop multimodal logistics infrastructure and strengthen cargo movement through the strategically located Sabroom corridor.

The MoU was signed on July 11, 2026, during the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026, where the state attracted hundreds of investment proposals across multiple sectors.

Under the agreement, Bharat A to Z Pvt. Ltd. will explore and develop integrated cargo transportation solutions leveraging the region’s emerging multimodal connectivity. The project will focus on facilitating cross-border trade with Bangladesh through the Sabroom–Chittagong corridor, integrated cargo movement along the Indo-Bangladesh Protocol (IBP) Route, National Waterway-2 on the Brahmaputra River, and the Sabroom land corridor.

The initiative will also support seamless domestic cargo movement within Tripura and the North Eastern Region, while improving connectivity with the rest of India through multimodal transport networks.

The investment aligns with the Government of India’s Act East Policy and Tripura’s vision of transforming Sabroom into a major logistics gateway connecting India’s Northeast with Bangladesh and the Bay of Bengal. With infrastructure such as the Maitri Setu, the Integrated Check Post (ICP), and proposed connectivity to Chittagong Port, the corridor is expected to significantly reduce logistics costs and transit time for exporters and importers.

The ₹100 crore logistics project is expected to enhance regional supply chain efficiency, promote multimodal transportation, facilitate cross-border trade, and strengthen Tripura’s position as a strategic logistics hub for Northeast India and neighbouring markets.
