Adani Logistics has launched its first dedicated export block train service connecting Inland Container Depot (ICD) Kishangarh in Rajasthan with Mundra Port, marking a significant step towards strengthening India’s multimodal logistics network and export supply chains. The service has been introduced in collaboration with Wan Hai Lines and Greaks Shipping LLP.
The dedicated rail service is expected to provide exporters with faster transit, enhanced reliability, and seamless rail-to-port connectivity, particularly benefiting the solar, granite, and marble industries in the Kishangarh region. By improving cargo movement between one of India’s major export hubs and the country’s largest commercial gateway port, the initiative is set to enhance supply chain efficiency while reducing logistics costs.
The block train service is designed to facilitate the efficient movement of containerized export cargo from inland manufacturing clusters to Mundra Port, ensuring predictable transit schedules and improved cargo handling. The collaboration between Adani Logistics, Wan Hai Lines, and Greaks Shipping LLP underscores the growing role of integrated rail-based logistics solutions in supporting India’s expanding export ecosystem.
The initiative also aligns with the industry’s sustainability objectives by encouraging a modal shift from road to rail. Increased rail-based cargo transportation is expected to reduce road congestion, lower carbon emissions, and contribute to building greener and more resilient supply chains.
