DBGT successfully handled the ad hoc call of M.V. MSC VANESSA, a 300-metre LOA container vessel, under the MALABAR EXPRESS service following her arrival from Colombo on August 28, 2026.

The vessel handled a total of 885 TEUs at DBGT. She was safely berthed and efficiently operated at the terminal before sailing to Vizhinjam on the same day.

The successful call demonstrates DBGT’s capability to accommodate large container vessels while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency and operational reliability.

DBGT thanked its dedicated team and V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOC Port) for their support and coordination, which enabled seamless berthing, cargo operations and unberthing of the vessel.

The successful vessel call further reinforces DBGT’s commitment to operational excellence and facilitating India’s growing maritime trade.
