New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) have signed a five-year agreement to provide bunkering facilities to ships visiting the port, as well as vessels at anchorage and offshore locations.

The agreement was signed at the IOCL Mangalore Terminal in Panambur by Smt. C. Divya, Divisional Institutional Business Head, Bengaluru Divisional Office, IOCL, and Capt. Manoj Joshi, Deputy Conservator, NMPA. The agreement has been entered into on a nomination basis.

The signing ceremony was attended by Smt. S. Shanthi, Deputy Chairperson, NMPA; Shri Sidharth Agarwal, Executive Director & State Head, Karnataka State Office, IOCL; Shri Shubhendu Pal, Executive Director (Engineering & Projects), IOCL; and senior officials from both organisations.

The agreement is expected to strengthen bunkering infrastructure and services at New Mangalore Port, while providing greater operational support to vessels calling at the port and those operating at anchorage and offshore locations.

The initiative will contribute to improving the efficiency of vessel operations and further strengthen New Mangalore Port’s maritime support infrastructure.
