Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) has signed an agreement with Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), New Delhi, for the development of public electric vehicle (EV) charging and battery swapping stations at five parking locations within the port.
The agreement was signed by Shri Gaurav Dayal, IAS, Chairperson, JNPA, along with Shri Ravish Kumar Singh, Deputy Chairperson, JNPA, and Shri Rajneesh Rana, Head – Convergence, CESL, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
The planned facilities will support a wide range of electric vehicles, including tractor-trailers, buses, cars, three-wheelers and two-wheelers, helping strengthen the clean mobility ecosystem within JNPA.
CESL, a green-energy focused Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, is engaged in promoting clean energy and sustainable mobility solutions.
The initiative is part of JNPA’s efforts to expand EV infrastructure within the port, encourage the adoption of electric mobility and promote cleaner, greener and more sustainable transportation.
