CU Lines has expanded its China–Indonesia network through a slot agreement, adding new capacity and connectivity between key markets in China and Indonesia.

The arrangement will allow CU Lines to offer customers additional options for moving containerised cargo between the two countries, strengthening its presence in the growing intra-Asia trade.

The China–Indonesia route supports the movement of a wide range of goods, with trade flows between the two markets continuing to generate demand for reliable container shipping services.

Through the slot agreement, CU Lines can expand its network without deploying an entirely separate service, allowing the carrier to improve coverage while making more efficient use of available vessel capacity.

The move forms part of CU Lines’ broader efforts to strengthen its intra-Asia network and respond to changing cargo demand across Southeast Asia.

The expanded connectivity is expected to benefit exporters and importers by providing additional sailing options and improving access to key regional ports.

The latest network development highlights the continued use of slot-sharing and cooperation agreements by container carriers seeking to expand market coverage and optimise capacity across Asia.
