    Alok Tiwari, IRSE, Additional Member (Bridge), Railway Board, has assumed charge as Managing Director of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), in addition to his existing responsibilities.

    A 1988-batch Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer, Tiwari brings over 36 years of experience in railway infrastructure planning, project execution, construction, safety, freight operations and administration. He has been involved across the complete project lifecycle and has directly constructed and commissioned more than 1,000 km of railway infrastructure.

    During his career, Tiwari has held several key positions, including Chief Administrative Officer, South East Central Railway; Principal Chief Safety Officer, South Western Railway; Divisional Railway Manager, Guntakal; and Chief Project Manager-cum-Group General Manager at Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL).

    His extensive experience in infrastructure development, freight operations, safety and project management is expected to support DFCCIL’s efforts to enhance operational efficiency, asset reliability, technological innovation and infrastructure excellence as India’s Dedicated Freight Corridor network continues to expand.
