    Shri S.K. Mehta, IFS, Chairman, DPA Kandla signed MoU worth Rs. 10,000 Crores with Umeandus Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. for the work “Development of Next Generation Transportation & Logistics Infrastructure for DPA and its eco-system” at the Port-Led city development Gujarat session at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 at Gandhinagar.

    This strategic partnership aims at revolutionizing transportation and logistics infrastructure, focusing on handling Bulk, Break-bulk, and Container cargo. The project is set to elevate the port’s capacity to an impressive 300 million metric tons or beyond, ensuring both commercial viability and environmental sustainability. This forward-looking endeavour is poised to generate employment opportunities for a significant workforce, providing jobs for at least 1,000 skilled and non-skilled staff, along with 10,000 during the construction phase.

    In the august presence of Shri Bhupendra Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister-Gujarat, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble MoPSW, Shri Rajesh Kumar Sinha, IAS, Additional Secretary, MoPSW, Shri Rajkumar Beniwal, IAS, VC-GMB and other senior officials.
