Iranian Ambassador Raza Amiri emphasized that the Pak-Iran gas pipeline aims to bolster strategic relations between the two nations, expressing his intention to establish sister ports by connecting Gwadar and Chah Bahar.
Speaking at a ceremony held in his honor at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce, Ambassador Amiri highlighted Iran’s desire to enhance trade and regional cooperation with Pakistan through the opening of additional border crossing points.
He expressed his aspiration to integrate Iran into the rail link and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
Ambassador Amiri noted that bilateral trade between the two countries has reached $2.50 billion in the past 11 months.
Furthermore, he confirmed that the Iranian president would soon visit Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, emphasizing Iran’s stance of not establishing relations with Israel amidst the ongoing strikes in Gaza.
