MSC announced the launch of its new service, Britannia, which will enhance port connections through a corridor from China and Vietnam to the port of Liverpool in the United Kingdom.

This new loop provides access to the port of Vung Tau, establishing a direct link to Liverpool and MSC hubs in Rotterdam, Antwerp, and Hamburg, while also connecting to destinations in Scandinavia and the Baltic region.

“This expansion will boost our coverage from China and Vietnam to the UK and the Northwest Continent,” noted the Swiss/Italian ocean carrier in a statement.

The inaugural voyage will be carried out by the vessel MSC DENISSE X on 1 July, under voyage number QB427W.

The complete rotation for this service is Shanghai (China) – Ningbo (China) – Yantian (China) – Vung Tau (Vietnam) – Liverpool (UK) – Rotterdam (Netherlands) – Antwerp (Belgium) – Hamburg (Germany) – London Gateway (UK) – Singapore – Shanghai.

“This highly anticipated service will complement our existing direct routes to London and Felixstowe, offering an unparalleled premium service network across the UK,” added MSC.
