Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ Ltd.) is now eyeing to expand its operations in the Philippines.

Karan Adani, APSEZ Ltd. Managing Director disclosed this during his courtesy call with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in Malacañang on Thursday.

“During the discussion, Mr. Adani emphasized the private sector’s commitment to building lasting partnerships and playing a crucial role in developing strong transportation networks,” Radio Television Malacañag (RTVM) said in a post on its Facebook page.

It said APSEZ Ltd. is considering investing in the country’s transport, logistics and renewable energy sector.

Marcos said the government is pursuing such partnerships to “elevate transportation options” in the country.

APSEZ is India’s top commercial port operator, and is responsible for managing close to a quarter of the nation’s cargo movement.
