    Billionaire Gautam Adani’s Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone is planning to incur a capital expenditure in the range of Rs 10,500-11,500 crore in FY25 and is hoping that Gopalpur Port acquisition will help expand 500 MMT of cargo volumes, it said in a stock exchange intimation on Thursday.

    “With incremental cargo volumes of 100 MMT achieved in less than two years, APSEZ is well poised to achieve 500 MMT of cargo volumes in 2025, aided by recently acquired Gopalpur Port, and the scheduled commissioning of Vizhinjam Port in the current year and WCT next year,” said Ashwani Gupta, Whole-Time Director & CEO, APSEZ.

    APSEZ’s revenue increased 28 per cent YoY to Rs 26,711 crore in FY24, buoyed by 30 per cent and 19 per cent increase in ports business and logistics business respectively.

    The company, India’s largest private port operator, has guided for cargo volumes of 460-480 MMT in FY25 with revenues of Rs 29,000-31,000 crore.

    It expects an EBITDA of Rs 17,000-18,000 crore in FY25, with net debt to EBITDA ratio of around 2.2-25x.

    APSEZ’s net profit rose by 76 per cent to Rs 2,040 crore in the final quarter of the previous financial year on the back of a jump in cargo volumes.

    PAT in Q4FY23 stood at Rs 1,158 crore.

    Its consolidated total income increased to Rs 7,199.94 crore for the fourth quarter of the FY24 against Rs 6,178.35 crore in the year-ago period.

    The total expense also rose to Rs 4,450.52 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 3,995 crore a year ago.
