Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) handled 280 million metric tonnes (MMT) of cargo during the first half of FY27, registering a 15% year-on-year increase, supported by growth across its port network.

The company also recorded an 11% rise in cargo volumes in September 2026, reflecting continued momentum in cargo handling during the first six months of the financial year.

The growth comes amid higher activity across key cargo segments and terminals operated by APSEZ. The company has been expanding its presence across India’s major maritime gateways while strengthening its integrated logistics network.

APSEZ operates a portfolio of ports and terminals on both India’s western and eastern coasts, handling a diverse range of cargo including containers, dry bulk, liquid cargo, automobiles and other commodities.

The increase in volumes during H1 FY27 highlights the role of India’s port infrastructure in supporting growing domestic and international trade. Higher cargo throughput also provides greater utilisation of terminal capacity and associated logistics infrastructure.

Containerised cargo remains an important component of APSEZ’s operations, while bulk and liquid cargo continue to contribute significantly to overall volumes. The company’s logistics business provides connectivity between ports, inland terminals and industrial centres.

The September performance contributed to the strong first-half result, with the 11% monthly increase helping APSEZ reach 280 MMT during H1 FY27.

APSEZ is continuing to invest in port capacity, logistics infrastructure and multimodal connectivity as it seeks to support rising cargo flows. The company’s expanding network is positioned to serve exporters, importers and domestic industries across key trade corridors.
