Airbus has inaugurated a Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), Vadodara, aimed at accelerating research and innovation in sustainable aerospace technologies. The CoE will focus on areas such as sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), hydrogen propulsion, advanced materials, digital aviation, and next-generation aircraft systems.

The initiative is designed to strengthen industry–academia collaboration, support skill development, and promote indigenous research aligned with India’s long-term aviation sustainability goals. Airbus said the centre will also work on applied research projects, student training, and joint programmes to build a future-ready aerospace talent pool in India.
