Allcargo Logistics Limited has announced a strategic leadership transition aimed at accelerating growth, strengthening its talent pool and positioning the company for its next phase of development as part of the broader restructuring of the Allcargo Group.

Vijay Nehra has been appointed Chief Transformation Officer and Managing Director Designate of Allcargo Logistics, effective October 1, 2026. He will work closely with the existing leadership during the transition and is set to assume the role of Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer from January 1, 2027, subject to requisite shareholder approvals.

Ketan Kulkarni, currently Managing Director & CEO of Allcargo Logistics, will become Chief Growth Officer, Allcargo Group, effective January 1, 2027. In his expanded Group-level role, Kulkarni will spearhead sales and marketing initiatives, identify new growth opportunities—particularly in emerging industries—and develop new avenues for value creation across the Group.

The leadership realignment follows the strategic restructuring undertaken after the demerger of the Allcargo Group, with businesses moving towards more focused leadership and governance structures. The appointment of Dinesh Lal as Chairman of Allcargo Logistics was an important step in strengthening the company’s leadership framework.

Both Vijay Nehra and Ketan Kulkarni will report to Punit Misra, Chief Business Officer, Allcargo Group.

Dinesh Lal, Chairman, Allcargo Logistics, said Nehra’s experience in complex supply chains and business transformation would complement the company’s focus on customer-centricity and service quality.

Punit Misra said the restructuring would create greater focus across the Group’s businesses, while the complementary leadership mandates would support their respective growth priorities.

Kulkarni said he would work closely with Nehra over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition. In his new Group mandate, he will focus on expanding the Group’s presence in emerging sectors, strengthening market outreach and identifying new sources of growth and long-term value.

Nehra said Allcargo Logistics had established a benchmark in service delivery as an integrated logistics provider and that he looked forward to strengthening operational excellence, with a continued focus on yield improvement and volume growth.

Nehra brings experience across financial services, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, e-commerce and technology-led businesses. He began his career as a supply chain professional with Hindustan Unilever, subsequently moving into senior sales and customer management roles. He later served as Head of Finance at Indiabulls Real Estate and Indiabulls Housing Finance, followed by a stint as CEO of Indiabulls Asset Reconstruction Company. Prior to joining Allcargo Logistics, he served as CEO of Ozone Pharma.

A Master Mariner, Nehra holds a postgraduate programme in management from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, and a Bachelor of Nautical Sciences from T. S. Chanakya, University of Mumbai.
